The Alliance for a Strong America is organized as a nonprofit organization under section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Alliance for a Strong America will engage in issue advocacy and grassroots lobbying to further these core purposes. There are no limits on the amount that may be contributed to the Alliance for a Strong America by an individual, corporation, union, or trade association; however, the Alliance for a Strong America does not accept contributions from foreign nationals. Any person or entity that contributes more than $5,000 to a 501(c)(4) organization must be disclosed to the Internal Revenue Service on Form 990. However, the IRS does not make these donor disclosures available to the general public. The Alliance for a Strong America's policy is to not provide the names of its donors to the general public. Contributions to the Alliance for a Strong America are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes, and do not count against an individuals $123,000 biennial aggregate contribution limit under federal campaign finance law.
